The job fits in one sentence and takes years to learn: decide where a company is going to find its growth, then make that actually happen. In practice it means building large-scale growth strategies, staying close to the accounts that matter, and opening markets — in Europe and in Africa.
The other half of the work is less visible: running multicultural teams. People who share neither a first language, nor the same professional reflexes, nor the same idea of what a meeting that went well looks like. Getting all of that to work together is a skill in its own right, and it is not learned from a book.
