This site sets no cookies. None. This page explains what is actually stored on your device, and why there is no consent banner to accept.
What this site does not do
- No cookie is set, neither ours nor anyone else’s.
- There is no audience measurement tool — no Google Analytics, no equivalent. We do not know how many people visit this site.
- There is no external script, no share button, no embedded video.
- The fonts are hosted on our own domain: your browser contacts no outside server to display a page.
Checked on 3 September 2026 by loading several pages of the site in a clean browser: noSet-Cookie header, no cookie recorded, no outgoing request to another domain.
The only thing stored on your device
If you press the light/dark button at the top, or if you pick a language, that preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. Nothing else.

These values never leave your device: they are not sent to any server, not even ours. They cannot identify you or follow you from one site to another.
Why there is no banner to accept. Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) exempts from consent anything strictly necessary for a service the user has expressly asked for. Remembering a display setting or a language you have just chosen yourself falls under that exception, as the Spanish Data Protection Agency reads it in its guidance on the use of cookies. Asking your permission for that would make no sense: the saving only happens if you click.
How to delete it
Clear the site data for musima.org in your browser settings, or use a private browsing window. The site works exactly the same without those values: it then follows your system’s light or dark theme, and the language of the address you are visiting.
The newsletter
Newsletter sign-up goes through Brevo, our sending provider. The form passes your address straight to that provider: no cookie is set on MUSIMA in doing so. The confirmation and unsubscribe pages hosted by the provider, on the other hand, are covered by its own cookie policy.
The host’s logs
Like any site, this one goes through a host — Cloudflare — which technically records incoming connections in order to serve the pages and protect itself from attacks. Those are server logs, not cookies: nothing is written to your device. See the privacy policy.
If this ever changes
The day we add a statistics tool, an embedded video or any other third-party service capable of setting a cookie, two things would happen before switching it on: a consent banner would be put in place allowing you to accept or refuse, and this page would be updated. As long as you can read the opening sentence, there is nothing to consent to.
